On July 17th, after a very long train ride from Edinburgh to Brighton, I attended the launch of United Patients Alliance, Britain’s newest medical cannabis campaign. Headed by longtime cannabis activist and MS patient Clark French, UPA is a patient-driven, public-facing campaign to spread awareness about the medical applications of cannabis in the UK. Clark is a sharp, determined, and sympathetic young man who has already received a spate of media attention in recent years, so I am eager to be involved in UPA’s work and hope that you will consider supporting us. Clark was kind enough to allow me a couple of minutes to discuss medical cannabis from the perspective of a California medical marijuana patient, and it was amazing to meet so many very different people who use cannabis as medicine.
