The Scientist: Dr Mechoulam (1h 2 min)
Documentary and interview with Dr Raphael Mechoulam, considered by many to be the grandfather of cannabis research as he was the first scientist to isolate and discover THC. He continues to do research on cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system alongside doctors and scientists worldwide to this day.
Jack Herer – Emperor of Hemp (58 min)
Documentary on the legendary Jack Herer (a cannabis strain is named after him). This chronicles his life as an activist for the legalization of hemp. His book is still widely read and heralded by the cannabis community and can be found for free at jackherer.com

Vitamin Cannabis (1h 33min)
An amateur made documentary that hits home where cancer is concerned. This documentary illustrates the Colorado Marijuana industry, both medical and underground, and it showcases the political struggles that growers faced in the years leading up to Colorado’s monumental legalization. There are a few cheesy moments and again the film is an amateur film, but the message and information may bring you to tears.

Hemp for Victory – 1942 (14 min)
The original documentary published by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Office of Public Affairs. Even though marihuana and hemp prohibition had been in effect since the 1937 signing of the Marihuana Tax Act, with the outbreak of WWII, the United States Government made it mandatory for farmers to grow hemp for textile reasons and materials demand for the war.

Reefer Madness – 1936 (1h 6min)
The original propaganda documentary that ushered in prohibition by convincing the masses that marihuana was a dangerous drug that could drive you insane. Movie was made by DuPoint chemicals which at the time was heavily producing synthetic textiles; hemp was a competing textile which is why the company lobbied so heavily to ban it.
